We are building a modern, friendly, and diverse product-first tech company with HQ based in Stockholm and now, we are looking for a Sales Engineer to join and contribute to building our Sales team in our brand new office in Toronto, Canada.

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our rapidly growing Sales Team. In this key technical advisory role, you will support our sales team within the technical and privacy evaluation stage . Utilizing a blend of technical creativity and business acumen, you will illustrate the value that Mentimeter as a product can provide to our Enterprise customers.

To succeed as a Sales Engineer at Mentimeter, you must be able to engage and articulate product positioning to both business and technical users. You will need to identify potential technical challenges of assigned accounts and assure customer satisfaction through all sales cycle stages.

Through a combination of technical know-how and strong interpersonal skills, you will provide advice and support for various stakeholders (sales, product, legal) within Mentimeter. We are putting a lot of focus on our Enterprise offering and we need someone who will be highly involved in the collaboration between Sales and Product. This relatively unique role will likely require a candidate who can thrive and grow in a hybrid setup/role.

Responsibilities for the role:

  • Support and educate the sales team with technical (security assessments) and questions related to privacy in both pre/post sales
  • Own the security and privacy evaluation stage during the procurement process with customers
  • Collaborate with our product department and our Legal Counsel on enterprise customers' needs and requests
  • Display Mentimeter’s business value from a technical perspective in customer interactions and meetings
  • Own our internal FAQ for security and privacy-related questions
  • To some extent assist sales with configuring and troubleshooting SSO (SAML 2.0), SCIM and other future implementations for our enterprise clients

Responsibilities NOT included in the role:

  • Conducting demos in the sales process (our Sales team handles that)
  • Coding customizable solutions for our customers
  • Reaching a quota

Skills Needed: 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience and enjoys working in a customer-facing role in the SaaS industry
  • Can build strong relationships and handle many stakeholders at the same time, both internal (sales, product, legal) and external (commercial, technical, legal)
  • Takes ownership of own backlog by being transparent and able to prioritize based on business value
  • Understands the customer’s needs from a technical and security standpoint
  • Can work both autonomously but enjoys teamwork - feels comfortable creating and building ways of working with the team
  • Has a good understanding of data privacy (GDPR or similar regulations)
  • A plus if you’ve worked with RFPs
