Head of Lifecycle Marketing

We’re offering an opportunity for an experienced, creative, and analytical lifecycle marketer to help us nurture and communicate with our prospects and customers throughout their entire journey.
As the Head of Lifecycle Marketing, and the founding member of our lifecycle marketing team, you will build and lead a global lifecycle marketing team. You’re expected to roll up your sleeves and work hands-on with everything from strategy and implementation to recruiting.
Reporting to the VP Growth, you will have a vital role in laying the foundation and setting the strategic direction for our lifecycle marketing function going forward.
As a Head of Lifecycle Marketing, you will:
Build and lead a global team with the goal to nurture and enrich the relationships with both Funnel’s prospects and customers. You will achieve this by delivering great experiences and communication through email and other channels at key moments of their journey.
- Create an in-depth understanding of both our customers and their journey from a prospect to a Funnel champion (having deep customer empathy is key)
- Develop sophisticated lifecycle/CRM programs for both pre-and post-sales (from prospect to customer, and customer to champion)
- Build a lifecycle marketing team from scratch, and collaborate and coordinate with other relevant teams like product marketing, content marketing, customer success, and revenue development.
- Implement and lead lifecycle marketing and communications at scale, including email, on-site chat, in-app notifications, etc.
- Measure and optimize the lifecycle marketing team's direct influence on prospect conversion rates, new customer activation rates, existing customer retention, and platform usage growth
- Champion the field of lifecycle marketing across marketing and revenue leadership, creating shared goals with other customer-facing departments
Lifecycle messaging channels include (but are not limited to) email, in-app/in-product, and on-site chat. You will partner with colleagues in marketing (especially our content team), customer success, sales, and product to craft consistent, high-quality communications through every stage of a customer's experience with Funnel.

We believe the successful candidate is an experienced leader in a lifecycle marketing setting.They are someone who likes to be the “spider in the web” that enjoys collaborating with other teams and has a data-driven mindset. The right candidate has deep emotional intelligence with clients and believes that improving prospect and customer experience (and happiness) will drive revenue growth.
You are a vocal champion for customer value, and you naturally dive deep into data to support your decisions. You are passionate about lifecycle marketing, skilled at managing stakeholders of cross-functional projects, and experienced in building and mentoring a team.
Required skills:
- Deep emotional intelligence and customer empathy
- Experience with leading the development and implementation of lifecycle marketing strategies
- Expertise in customer segmentation strategies and subscriber management across multiple channels (email, on-site chat, in-app communication, etc.)
- Analytical mindset and an ability to evaluate both quantitative and qualitative data to inform strategy and prioritization
- In-depth knowledge of marketing automation and CRM systems, with experience pushing the boundaries of what these platforms can do
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
